11th Edition of The Merck Veterinary Now Available in Spanish

Kenilworth, N.J. (December 2022) – Merck and Co., Inc. has published the 11th edition of The Merck Veterinary Manual, its renowned animal health reference, in Spanish. 

Nearly 400 veterinary experts from academia, government, research organizations, and specialty practices, from more than 20 countries, contributed to this editorial project.

Trusted by veterinarians, veterinary students, and veterinary nurses and technicians since 1955, the book is published as a service to these and other animal health professionals.

The book uses a two-column format for easy-to-read text and tables and includes hundreds of full-color images of clinical photos, drawings, radiographs, endoscopic images, and photomicrographs.

New to the 11th edition are:

● A section dedicated to public health, covering public health functions and agencies, epidemiologic principles, disease outbreak investigations, food safety, and an extensive table of zoonoses.
● Additional information on heart disease, diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, wound management, and pharmacology, including drug resistance.
● Expanded coverage of fish and aquaculture, and new chapters on backyard poultry, toxicologic workplace hazards, and smoke inhalation.
