On Tuesday, March 21st the first wild bee species was added to the Endangered Species List. Named for the reddish blotch on its abdomen, the population and range of this bee has declined by more than 90% since the late 1990's dues to disease, pesticides, climate change, and habitat loss. What is the common name of this bee? Hint: The scientific name is Bombus affinis.
