Students Urged to Encourage Creative Faculty Members to Submit Entrees

VetMedAcademy and the Merck Veterinary Manual Announce the “COVID Educational Creations”
Contest for Veterinary Instructors and Veterinary Technician Instructors
To celebrate instructor creativity during the COVID-19 pandemic of the last several months, VetMedAcademy and the Merck Veterinary Manual are hosting and sponsoring a contest to identify those who have discovered and deployed innovative online approaches to reaching and encouraging interaction with their distant students. VetMedAcademy and the Merck Veterinary Manual are seeking entries from instructors who have “turned lemons into lemonade.”

Submissions will consist of publishable “educational artifacts” of instruction. Eight cash prizes will be awarded between $200 and the grand prize of $1,000. All suitable educational resources, including those beyond the prize winners, will be published on VetMedAcademy.org as open-source resources. The relevant topics include any in veterinary medicine and/or animal health, and any instructor (faculty, resident, intern or other) in veterinary or veterinary technician programs may apply.  Students may strengthen a faculty member's entry by documenting their support in a letter, which can be submitted with the instructor's application.

Full details and submission information may be found here .The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2020.
