MerckVetManual.com Gets Redesign

Website Delivers Animal Health Information without Advertising

Kenilworth, N.J. (January 2020) – MerckVetManual.com, a free online animal health reference, has been redesigned to enhance ease-of-use and search capabilities.

Among the improvements to the landing page are a more prominent search box, a “letter spine” to locate animal health topics alphabetically, “quick links” to pet health information, case studies, clinical calculators, an “above the fold” location for specially featured content, photos and animations, and curated infographics that often correspond with national observances.

A news feed delivers breaking stories on animal health topics. The digital platform allows for timely commentary about issues with significant public health implications, such as antimicrobial resistance and One Health.

New to the collection of videos accessible on the website are series about pharmacology and zoonosis.

"The Merck Manuals websites provide comprehensive and reliable health information unencumbered by advertising," said Melissa Adams, Publisher of the Merck Manuals.

Credible Health Information for All

Access to the animal health website for veterinarians, veterinary technicians and nurses, and veterinary students, is unlimited and always free.

This is also the case for the human health websites, MerckManuals.com/Pro for healthcare professionals and medical students and MerckManuals.com/Consumer for patients and other lay audiences.

There is no registration, and visitors are never asked to provide personal information on any of the Merck Manuals websites, which all provide a user experience free of advertising or sponsored content of any kind. Hundreds of renowned experts serve as contributors, and all of the content is reviewed by an independent editorial board and regularly updated online.

Provided as a public service by Merck & Co., Inc., the digital offerings expand on the subject matter contained in The Merck Manuals, a series of reference books long trusted by health and veterinary professionals, as well as consumers and pet owners.
