Caption Contest

 Kelly Chappell, from Midwestern University, came up with the winning caption for this photo by Chantal Girard from Kansas State University. 

Lucky is a 12-year-old Chihuahua who has lived in Vermont for most of his life and belongs to Chantal Girard from Kansas State University. He is sometimes a grumpy old man, but loves his humans no matter what. His favorite treats are ice cream, bananas, and cheese. Despite being a senior citizen, Lucky still thinks he is a puppy most of the time, whether it be running around the house with his rabbit toy in tow or using his big puppy dog eyes to get what he wants. Lucky’s favorite past-times are howling when you leave the room and chasing squirrels that are bigger than he is.

Winnie owned by Esther Farber from North Carolina State University was last issues caption contest model. Winnie is a sassy 10 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi whose hobbies include successfully begging for food, taking over the bed, and being the fun police.
