ORLANDO, FL – SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 – The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) today announced the launch of Level Up: Veterinary Nurses & Technicians, a new virtual summit it will host annually in October during Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week. In honor of the extraordinary work veterinary nurses and technicians do, and thanks to the generous support of sponsors like Vetoquinol, the summit will be free to veterinary nurses and technicians worldwide. The veterinary nurse summit marks the first of the new Level Up series of virtual learning events that the NAVC will host under its Virtual XP learning umbrella. Registration opens today for Level Up: Veterinary Nurses & Technicians which will take place October 16 - 17.

NAVC Announces VMX 2022

VETERINARY PROFESSIONALS WORLDWIDE LEARN THE LATEST IN VETERINARY MEDICINE AT VMX 2022

Advances In Veterinary Medicine Are Helping Animals Live Longer, Better Quality Lives 

ORLANDO, FL – SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 – Assessing heart disease in cats and dogs; new perspectives on reptiles with cancer; approaching feline and canine neonatal emergencies; post-operative nursing care; and the basics of treating elephants are among the topics to be presented at the 39th annual Veterinary Meeting & Expo(VMX) where veterinary professionals from all over the world will gather to learn the latest innovations in veterinary medicine for animals of all species. The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) today announced more than 900 hours of continuing education (CE) that will be taught and presented by global leaders in veterinary medicine at VMX 2022. The annual conference will be held January 15-19 in person in Orlando, FL, at the Orange County Convention Center and, for the second year, everywhere virtually through VMX Virtual. VIN Topic Rounds

 Are you missing out on clinical rotations because of COVID-19? The VIN Student Team has you covered with Tuesday Topic Rounds.  During the month of September, join the VIN Student Team for 30 minute, case-based sessions that illustrate how to use the tools on VIN every Tuesday at 12pm ET. Everyone and all levels of experience are welcome. There will be time for Q&A and discussion following. The next session is Using VIN AV Resources to Help With Clinical Cases on September 21, 2021 at 12 ET.

In this rounds: 

• Learn to find and utilize audiovisual resources on VIN.
• Discover how to use VIN resources to help you with cases.
• Run through a clinical case together (with help from VIN resources).

Vet Med Experience

Best part about a covid vet school experience is finding new hobbies with vaccinated friends. I’ve been able to keep on top of online lectures while also hitting up almost all of the metro parks in Columbus , starting my bowling alley tour of Columbus, and learning to top rope and lead climb with my surgery team. I may not remember how to perform a splenectomy but I will always remember the people making this journey bearable!
