VIN Topic Rounds

Are you missing out on clinical rotations because of COVID-19? The VIN Student Team has you covered with Tuesday Topic Rounds.  During the month of October, join Dr. Jonathan Stockman for 30 minute, case-based sessions on Nutrition every Tuesday at 12ET. Everyone and all levels of experience are welcome. There will be time for Q&A and discussion following. The next session is Nutritional Management of Urinary Disease on October 13, 2020 at 12 ET.

In this rounds:

• Common diseases that affect the lower urinary tract
• Nutritional management in dissolution and prevention of recurrence
• Nutritional management of liver disease

AVMF Disaster Relief Grant

AVMF Disaster Relief Grants are for the purpose of assisting veterinarians and veterinary students who have experienced an emergency need for basic necessities due to a disaster. Up to $2,000 may be issued per grantee for out-of-pocket expenses incurred immediately following the disaster. A disaster would include, but is not limited to, flooding, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires or oil spills in an area that has been declared a disaster area at the local, county, state or federal level.

SAVMA Symposium 2021 Goes Virtual

Kansas State University has announced that it will be hosting the 2021 SAVMA Symposium Virtually! The event is set to take place March 13-15th 2021. Students will be able to participate through a variety of live lectures, pre-recorded lectures, wet lab opportunities, and through virtual tours.
