IVSA December EO Bulletin

Message from the MOD,

I want to take some time to reflect on the year that has now passed.
Amidst a global pandemic, you've made it. Indeed, there have been some wins this year and some losses. I cannot imagine how differently this year must have been experienced by all our members!

I want to say how incredibly proud I am of each and every single one of you. Making it through this year was no easy feat, and in whatever condition you may find yourself in right now, I want you to take a step back and know that you are exceptional for having gotten through 2020. Well done!

Please take some time during the holidays to reflect on your year. Reflect on your growth and your challenges you've faced. Rest and give yourself some time to breathe, so that we may see each other again in the new year, with renewed motivation to succeed

Always here and with all my love,

Nabeelah I. Rajah

Finals Frenzy

The month of December is filled with lots of two things: fun and finals (which are probably not related).  As you begin to prepare for final exams, make sure to make time for breaks, get some rest, and try to laugh every once in a while!  Thanks to Jasmine Coleman from Auburn University for sending this in to our Foot in Mouth Disease category!

Life Lessons Learned While Growing up on a Farm

Sometimes, moving away from home makes us realize what we appreciate most in life.  Take a look at what Katelyn Reist had to say about her transition from her hometown in Pennsylvania to veterinary school life in California! Thank you so much for sharing your perspective with us, Katelyn!

Life Lessons Learned While Growing up on a Farm

While attending elementary, middle, and high school, my classmates always asked, “What is it like to live on a farm?” I never really knew what to say because I have lived on a farm my entire life and never knew what it was like not to live on a farm. Living on a farm was just a part of my life and something that I learned to cherish. I have come to realize these past few years how grateful I am to grow up on a farm because it has instilled in me many valuable lessons and life experiences. These experiences will always be a part of me and have shaped me to become who I am today.
